Art

Honestly I'm not even sure I can call this a hobby, but when I have free time I like to draw :)

I've been making art seriously since about April 2018, so it's been what, five years ish? I'm definitely not one of those "been drawing since before I learned how to write" people-- yeah, I took art classes as a kid, but I hated it. I hated sitting there for 3 hours sticking my pencil in front of my face and squinting my eyes just to draw an apple.

Art is something that I love for the freedom and self-expression, I think. But all those years of drawing apples, eggs, and random marble sculptures definitely paid off in their own way.

Backpacking

Backpacking is always a nice way to escape for a little bit! I've been to pretty much every major trail in Washington (as long as my family deems it "difficult enough"), and have also been up most of the major mountains.

This image is from when my friend and I made the trip up Mt. Rainier! We left at like 12:30 AM and essentially hiked for what...28 hours? At the top of Rainier the air is super thin (and freezing), so I have to say I couldn't enjoy the view as much as I wanted to..I was literally fighting to stay alive haha

Anyways it was a fun time though, and I can't wait to go back to hiking...there's no good mountains here in LA
